Being A Good Steward over Your Praise

If there is anything that all men owe unto God it is our true praise and worship unto Him. One of the reasons we were created is to offer praise unto God. The Bible tells us that He inhabits the praise of His people (Psa. 22:3). When we praise God we show our appreciation for what He has done.

Worship can be done in the form of a praise but worship is a different attitude toward God. Worship is rendered not so much for what He has done but just for who He is. We worship the nature, characteristics and attributes of God. If He had never done anything for us just because of who He is He still deserves to be worshiped. Because he is omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscience He is to be worshipped. Because He is holy and righteous He is to be worshiped. Because He is God He is to be worshiped.

Let us pray that men and women everywhere learn the worth of praise and worship as it builds our relationship with our creator.

Worship The Lord Only

Deut 5:7 Thou shalt have none other gods before me.

Exodus 20:23 Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.

Matthew 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Worship of Angles is Forbidden

Col 2:18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

Rev 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Rev 22:8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.

Rev 22:9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.

Worship of Men Is Forbidden

Acts 10:26 But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.
